The Presbytery of Eastern Canada met in Sydney, NS, in Westminster Bible Presbyterian Church October 15-16. As always, the high point of the meeting lay in the two hours devoted to prayer for our churches and members of the presbytery.

We continue to struggle with the need for church planters, and Presbytery's two MNA committees were charged to consider the system we have been using in cooperation with General Assembly MNA, to see if we could find a more effective way of recruiting church planters and supporting them.

Presbytery agreed to accept an invitation by Grace Toronto Church to hold its winter meeting there, with a different than usual format. It was proposed and accepted that we try to focus more on spiritual growth than on business, and to that end that the meeting be integrated with a conference organized by Grace Toronto Session on various kinds of ministry.
