From the beginning of this news service three and a half years ago, we have sought to be sensitive to our constituency with regard to how we conduct ourselves. One of the suggestions which we have heard from several quarters has been the need for ministerial advisors to give feedback and advice.
Over the past month or so, we have approached a number of PCA ministers about their assisting us in this venture. All of the ones we have contacted have responded courteously and most have responded positively.
The current plan is for all of the advisors to have a list of the proposed articles and editorials about a month before going to press, and for one-fourth of them at a time to have the entire text of many of the articles and editorials about a week before press deadline. Our intention is to have this system in place by early 1999.
In selecting these ministerial advisors, we are deliberately trying to have different theological perspectives represented. We earnestly desire to serve the Lord and His church in the best way possible, and one of the ways of doing that is by ensuring that the ones from whom we seek wisdom and advice are not sycophants.
The pastors of all of our sponsoring churches are hereby specifically invited to become official advisors.
Beyond that, perhaps you, our readers, have suggestions as to who could be helpful in this endeavor. You are cordially invited to send your nominations to us at 905 Dogwood Park Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30045; (678)442-9863; pins@journalist.com.
